中学受験が始まります〜首都圏では埼玉から１月１０日〜Taking junior high school entrance exams

ここ埼玉県では、

毎年１月１０日から中学受験が始まります。

「中学受験」に関することを英語に

して紹介していきます。

それでは

 Let’s get started and have fun!!!

⭐️ take　 →　この場合は『受ける』で使う

⭐️ junior high school　→　中学校

⭐️ entrance　→　入る、入り口、入学

⭐️ exam　→　テスト、試験

　examination の省略した形
　省略した形 exam の方が良く使われる

私は中学受験をするつもりです。（未来形）

I will take junior high school entrance exams.

私は２年前に中学受験をしました。（過去形）

I took junior high school entrance exams two years ago.

⭐️　cram school　は

『塾』と訳されることが多いです。

他には

⭐️　Private schools or lessons after school

　private →　個人的な
   lesson　→　授業
   after school　→　放課後

⭐️　extra private lessons 

　extra →　余分な　追加の

My daughter went to the cram school
in order to take junior high school entrance exams four times a week.

私の娘は中学受験をするために週に４日塾へ通っていました。

⭐️in order to　→　〜するために

⭐️four times a week　→　週に４日

every day →　毎日

once a week　→　週に１回

twice a week　→　週に２回

three times a week　→　週に３回

four times a week　→　週に４回

five times a week　→　週に５回

almost every day　→　ほぼ毎日

few times a week　→　週に何回か

⭐️week のところを　month (月）に変えると
　月に〜回になります

⭐️week のところを　year (年）に変えると
　年に〜回になります

＜中学受験をすること＞

個人的な感想です・・・・
本格的に中学受験をするとなると、

小学校４年生くらいから進学塾に通うのが一般的です

学校から帰って来て休む時間もなく、

そのまま塾へ流れる感じです。

学年が上がるごとに、

塾の日数も増え授業時間も長くなります。

小学校６年生になると

週５日は塾で、もちろん土日も朝から行くことが多いので、

親はお弁当を作り、送り迎え、

子供は学校の勉強プラス塾の予習復習、

試験対策に追われる日々になります。

息子と娘、中学受験は２度経験しましたが、

本人だけでなく親もサポートや準備で忙しくなります。

中学受験を通して貴重な経験が
色々とできると思いますが、
やはり、
向き不向きは多少なりともあるのかと感じました。
受験は通過点であり、
どの学校に行ったとしても
切り拓くのは本人次第だと強く感じます。

⭐️公立学校　→　public school

⭐️私立学校　→　private school

There are many good points and weak points both of schools.

両方の学校に良い点もマイナス点もあると思います。
